    There are pathological cases however due to the highly regulated, rigid taxi permit system. During the company Christmas party season in certain cities, like in the Helsinki area, you may need to wait for scores of minutes for the taxi. Even getting thru to the taxi dispatch can be hell and they say that in such cases an order via sms would be preferred. :)

    @constantine: That's definitely possible in Stadi (=HEL) but many cities/regions have their own dispatch companies with different sofware so your milage may vary.

    In principle I agree but sms is too limited to continue as it is. On ðe other hand ðe replacement, mms, hasn't fared so well because a) ðe operators are making us pay þru our collective noses, b) it's an email rip-off. No, IM is ðe model for ðe future.

    A few years back in Finland you could order condoms by calling or with sms, and have them delivered to your house. Didn't really catch on though...
