well i live by the clock regardless, i'm just saying you can't just look at your window and wing the time. used to do that in the states all the time.

i used to work in a light bar in Stockholm where people with seasonal depression used to come in for meals... better too much light than too little i think

@Stefan: I definitely plan to make a cruise Stockholm again this summer. Let's make it a Jaiku-boat?

cruiseku! although i've been thinking of the lapland road trip and then cut across to norway and down through sweden all the way to stockholm, cruise to Turku in time for Ruisrock. how does that sound? :)

that sounds good. I know you can return the rent car in different countries. another option is to take a night train from LuleƄ to Stockholm, it's about 14-15 hours. But it's more comfortable than driving.

@whiteg definitely train options will be considered, e.g. first stretch up to Rovaniemi and last stretch down to Stockholm. but the general idea is to make this big round cutting through 3 countries. Duncan (@dsample) should be joining me, and I'm thinking 4 people will be the optimal configuration. how does 28/6 to 6/7 look for you?

no problem, i'm trying to make Ruisrock (4/7 - 6/7) part of the trip but it doesn't have to be. if other dates work for you let me know. or you can skip ruisrock, i think Duncan might not be interested either, i may be alone on that one. i could probably do the whole trip by myself as well, i just worry a bit about falling asleep at the wheel or something :P

Haha, @cybette, don't think you're getting to see those gorgeous non-sunsets by yourself :oP I'm up for pretty much anything.
