i walked from the south tip to the middle, little over 7 km. as for new york, that's the greatest city in the world, but i'm not a huge fan of the usa at the moment.
could be the excitement of a new place. i get that whenever i visit some place for the first time. but of course i'd love to visit Berlin (and Barcelona!!) sometime. so far from my travels, i think Vienna and Zurich are some of the most beautiful places. oh and Singapore too (yeah, i'm biased). that's for cities... ultimately, I love road trips. driving around Oahu (Hawaii) and through lapland in Finland/Norway were some of the most scenic routes I've ever laid eyes on.
Don't know Berlin but could be considering its history. Generally I find German esthetics too bland/average European. For instance I hate German commercials for their yucky middle-class portrayal. But I have the same problem with Finnish soap operas, too.
