now that the Google Maps application has my Google username and password, think of all the type of things Google can launch in the future that have a personalization or social element attached to them!
first thing would be to sync my favorite locations to the cloud so i can find a restaurant on eat.fi, see it on a map, save the location and now have it in my pocket
not to mention imagine if all my Helsinki buddies started adding reviews to locations they've been to or if my international buddies did the same thing so that when i'm in a new town i can see all the proper hang out destinations
well actually Google Latitude has less features than Friend View, that being said, Google Latitude integrates into my Google lifestyle a heck of a lot better and the program is much more snappy. anyway, this is not about Friend View vs Google Latitude, this thread is about sharing IDs so we can all add each other and to ponder what future LBS services can be enabled. it is OK to rip off ideas, let the service with the best implementation and most rewarding user experience win!
Yeah, the social location thing is still on iits diapers and it is really interesting to follow with what concept it will reach the masses, or will it do that at all.

Damn this is cute. Some day we can be targeted quite easily with smartbombs/missiles by evil governments if we publish too many dissenting views for their comfort. Paranoid much? :P
Oh, and just add jkniiv æt google. If you're my contact in Jaiku/Facebook/Friendfeed, I'll add you in Latitude too. And you know I hav an open policy in Jaiku, so...

Not sharing mine (just yet) but the fact that this pulls the Landmarks I've saved with Nokia Maps has really impressed me.

@arjw: Yeah, the last version (or two?) did that as well, and I love that feature. Makes using Google Maps public transit much better.
For fun, I posted this release to the Yelp.com forums in San Francisco/Bay Area, and the reaction was pretty much a "hell no!"
